Biographical Information

Rich Olivier pitched in the minor leagues and the CPBL.

Olivier was signed by the New York Yankees in 1994, and he was 0-1 with a 1.93 ERA for the GCL Yankees. He went 3-3 with a 3.88 ERA for the Oneonta Yankees in 1995, and he had a 3-2 record with a 4.24 ERA for the Greensboro Bats in 1996; he also pitched 8 2/3 shutout innings in the GCL. Olivier stayed with the Bats in 1997, and he was 8-5 with a 4.13 ERA. The Brother Elephants of Taiwan signed him in 1999, and he went 5-2 with a 2.01 ERA in 19 games. He would have ranked 2nd in ERA had he qualified (.014 behind Carlos Mirabal).
