Biographical Information

Rich Fischer was more of a shortstop in college, but the Anaheim Angels, on the recomendation of scout Tim Corcoran, drafted him as a pitcher in the 21st round of the 2000 amateur draft. He made his pro debut that summer for the Butte Copper Kings. Baseball America ranked him as the Angels' #8 prospect in 2003, but he was out of baseball after 2004.

Fischer pitched one season for the independent Long Beach Armada in 2007.
