Biographical Information[edit]
Emil "Reggie" Richter, born in Germany, pitched 22 games for the Chicago Cubs in 1911, a team that finished in second place. His ERA was 3.13, better than the league ERA of 3.39. Richter also pitched for Louisville, Montreal and Newark in his minor league career.
He was born in Germany in the same year that Marty Krug was born there.
He is the earliest major leaguer with the first name Reggie. He is not to be confused with Reggie Ritter.
