Biographical Information[edit]
Infielder Red Shannon was the twin brother of Joe Shannon. They were teammates on the Boston Braves in 1915 and were the first set of twins to play together.
Shannon played seven years in the majors, all as an infielder, and was the youngest player in the league when he made his debut in 1915 (listed as tied with his brother).
He was with the Louisville Colonels for most of 1923 to 1929, hitting .340 in 1924.
