Biographical Information[edit]

Infielder Rayne Doncon was signed by the Los Angeles Dodgers as an international amateur free agent out of the Dominican Republic on January 15, 2021. He began his pro career that same year with the DSL Dodgers Bautista in the Dominican Summer League where he hit .283 in 31 games. He moved to the United States in 2022, splitting the season between the ACL Dodgers and Rancho Cucamonga Quakes of the California League. In 62 combined games, he hit .255/.306/.481 with 12 homers and 46 RBIs. He returned for a full season at Rancho Cucamonga in 2023, playing 107 games and hitting .216/.283/.368, with 14 homers and 52 RBIs. After playing mainly second base and shortstop his first two seasons, he was moved to third base, a position corresponding more closely to his body type and hitting profile.
