Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder Ray Stockton played in the minor leagues from 1950 to 1952 and from 1954 to 1955. In his second campaign, he hit .320 with 19 home runs, 43 doubles and 12 triples in 137 games for the Hammond Berries; he followed that with a .302 mark with 10 homers between two clubs in 1952. In the 1952 Rule V Draft, Stockton was taken by the Lynchburg Cardinals from the Crowley Millers. He did not play for Lynchburg in 1953, but batted .317 with 14 home runs and 13 triples for them in 1954. In 1955, he hit .329 in 133 games between two teams.

Overall, Stockton hit .315 with 619 hits, 142 doubles, 40 triples and 51 home runs over five campaigns.
