Ray Kinsella
"If you build it, he will come..." These are the words Ray Kinsella hears in his Iowa cornfield in the movie "Field of Dreams". Kinsella, played by Kevin Costner, is considered one of the greatest characters in a baseball movie ever. He didn't create "Wonderboy" like Roy Hobbs, but he did turn his cornfield into a baseball field to try and get Joe Jackson and the 1919 White Sox playing again. He also hears the words "Go the distance" and "Ease his pain". Shenanigans unfold as he and Terrence Mann (played by James Earl Jones) travel across the country to unravel the mysteries of his backyard diamond.
