Biographical Information[edit]

Ray Corbin's entire professional baseball career came with the Minnesota Twins. He signed as an amateur free agent in 1967 and moved his way up the Twins' chain from 1967 to 1970. After playing in Double A in '70 with a 2.86 ERA, he made the big club in 1971 without ever pitching in Triple A. His five years with the Twins, 1971 to 1975, were as a reliever and spot starter. He appeared in 181 games, making 63 starts. In 1973, when he was used mostly as a reliever, he had 14 saves and an 8-5, 3.03 record.
