Randy Sawa pitched for the Regina Red Sox from at least 1966-1979.

He was 6-0 in 1968. After a 2-2 regular season in '69, he threw three complete game wins in the postseason and won another in relief as Regina took the title. He was 5-3 in 1970. In '71, he had a 4-6, 2.47 record and led the Saskatchewan Southern League in IP (94 2/3 IP) and strikeouts (88). He was 7-3 with a league-leading 2.08 ERA the next year.

Sawa pitched for Team Canada in the 1972 Amateur World Series, starting in their win over Guatemala and losing to Mitsuyoshi Sato and Brazil. He was 0-1 in 1973. In 1977, he went 5-0 with a 2.45 ERA for Regina, leading the Saskatchewan Major Baseball League in winning percentage.
