Biographical Information[edit]
Randy Kotchman is the brother of Tom Kotchman and uncle of Casey Kotchman. Randy was picked by the Detroit Tigers in the 33rd round of the 1985 amateur draft but did not sign. Undrafted out of college, he hit .276/~.369/.291 and fielded .967 at third for the independent 1989 Miami Miracle. In 1990, he fielded only .878 at the hot corner for the Boise Hawks (managed by his brother) and batted .244/.374/.299. He was third among Northwest League third basemen with 18 errors.
He later coached youth baseball.
