Ramstein Air Base, Rhineland-Palatinate

Ramstein Air Base is a large military facility located near the small town of Ramstein and the city of Landstuhl, Rhineland-Palatinate, in western Germany. It is home to the 86th Airlift Wing of the United States Air Force and serves as the headquarters of US Air Forces in Europe.

As a result of the large number of U.S. military personnel assigned to the base with their families, there is vibrant Little League Baseball organization operating there which has made a number of trips to the Little League World Series: in 1992, 1993, 2009, 2010 and 2012.
