Ramón Tamayo is a Cuban infielder. He hit .280 and slugged .431 in his first six seasons (through 2007-2008). In the 2008-2009 season, he hit .281/~.418/.465 for Granma. Batting ahead of slugger Alfredo Despaigne, he scored 87 runs to lead the Serie Nacional. He was also 7th with 74 walks.
