Biographical Information[edit]

Ramón Serratos played three years as a pro.

He hit .235/.316/.394 for the Mexican national team that won Silver in the 1954 Central American and Caribbean Games (he is incorrectly listed as Sorratos in some sources). In the outfield (starting in right), he had 6 putouts, an assist and no errors. [1] He turned pro in 1955, going 0-for-1 with a walk and two runs for the Mexico City Reds and hitting .238/.324/.294 for the Nogales Yaquis; he also was with the Mineros de Fresnillo.

In 1956, he was 9-for-26 for Fresnillo. He batted .230/.299/.246 for the 1957 Veracruz Eagle, playing short and third. He also pitched five games. [2] It seems plausible that he is the father of the other minor leaguer of the same name.
