Biographical Information

Rafael Rodríguez pitched in the minors and for the Panamanian national team.

He was signed by the Pittsburgh Pirates. He was 4-0 with a 3.94 ERA for the 2008 DSL Pirates then 4-1 with a 3.58 ERA for the '09 VSL Pirates. He was 1-3 with a 3.34 ERA for the 2010 VSL Pirates. He had gone 9-4 with a 3.66 ERA in 37 games (18 starts) as a pro. In 110 2/3 IP, he allowed 111 hits and 45 walks while fanning 91.

The left-hander was with Panama when they took home Silver in the 2013 Central American Games. He allowed three hits, a walk and two runs in 1 1/3 IP in the 2018 Central American and Caribbean Games.
