In 1911, the Quincy Infants joined the Three-I League. The team from Quincy, IL was originally supposed to replace the Waterloo Boosters but a strong protest from the folks of Waterloo led to Quincy taking the place of the Burlington Bloomers instead. Quincy finished third that year at 71-63, with pitcher Spencer going 24-13-1. The next season they became the Quincy Old Soldiers.
