The Portland Pickles are a summer collegiate baseball team that began play in 2016 as a founding member of the Great West League. The Pickles switched to the West Coast League in 2018.
They are known for posting memes all over their social media which gained their accounts a large following of non-baseball fans who simply followed them for their antics. In January of 2022 the Pickles recieved backlash after they posted a photo of their mascot, Dillon doing something vulgar. They made a joke of the situation saying that he was "framed." A month later, the Dillon costume was stolen. It was found on a bus a few days later and returned.
