Ponciano Lombillo Veitia
Biographical Information[edit]
Ponciano Lombillo was a player and manager in Nicaragua.
A Cuban native, he came to Nicaragua in 1934 to play for the General Somoza team. When he married in 1936, he settled permanently in Nicaragua. He played for three more teams in Nicaragua before becoming a manager. He guided the Nicaraguan national team in the 1945 Amateur World Series and 1950 Central American and Caribbean Games. In 1998, he was inducted into the Nicaraguan Sports Hall of Fame.
