In 1962 the Pocatello Bannocks became the Pocatello Chiefs. After the 1965 season, Pocatello left the Pioneer League (they moved to Ogden, Utah to become the Ogden Dodgers in 1966) and organized ball until the Pocatello Gems started play in 1984.
Baseball Hall of Fame Manager Tommy Lasorda was the Manager of the Pocatello Chiefs in 1965.[1]
