Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder Ernie Rodriguez was a star player at UCLA and played in the Los Angeles Dodgers chain from 1958 until 1964, when he received his first managerial job in the Pioneer League. He returned to managing in 1975, for a seven-year stint at the helm of the Great Falls Giants, then had two more brief stays managing unaffiliated Pioneer League clubs in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

He was a high school teacher in Los Angeles, CA between seasons and during stints when he was not managing. His brother Reuben Rodriguez also managed in the minor leagues.
