Pittsburgh Tribune-Review
Based out of Greensburg, PA, the Tribune-Review became a major player in the Pittsburgh, PA media market during the strike that shut down the Pittsburgh Press and Pittsburgh Post-Gazette; during this period, the Tribune-Review became the major daily in the region. When the strike ended, the Press was gone and the Tribune-Review remained as the second-largest local newspaper. Politically, it is known for its far-right wing stance due to the influence of owner Richard Mellon Scaife.
