Biographical Information[edit]

Carl "Pinky" Jorgensen played six games in the majors, hitting .286 for the 1937 Reds.

He was at St. Mary's College of California from 1933-37, and also played in the minors at Muskogee beginning in 1935. His major league debut was in September 1937.

Afterwards he played in the minors in a variety of places during 1938-40. His minor league batting average from 1935-40 was .309 and he had over 100 home runs in that time.

Carl was born in Laton, CA, in California's Central Valley south of Fresno. He died in Santa Cruz, CA, a couple hundred miles northwest of Laton.
