Piazza, New York Catcher is a song by Glaswegian indy pop band Belle and Sebastian. The song, named after star former catcher Mike Piazza, notably asks in one of its lines, "Piazza, New York catcher, are you straight or are you gay?", in reference to the gay rumors surrounding the ballplayer.[1] The song appeared on the band's 2003 album, Dear Catastrophe Waitress.
