Philippe Lecourieux is a right-handed pitcher. He has played for Rouen 76 (2004-2008) and the INSEP Rhinos in Noumea.

In 2007, he was a member of Team New Caledonia at the 13th South Pacific Games in Samoa. [2] He pitched seven full innings against Palau's left-handed pitcher, throwing a few wild pitches in the 4th inning, and giving up "only" seven runs by the end of the game.

France's youngest player in the 2007 European Championship, Lecourieux only pitched one game, walking 3 and allowing a hit and a run (unearned) in 1 1/3 relief innings in a win over the Ukrainian national team. [3]

Also that year, he was with the French national team for the Olympic Test Event in China prior to the 2008 Olympics.

He played for Rhino in New Caledonia in 2008 and was member of the outfield [4] for the French National team for the European under 21 tournament in September 2008. [5] His .600 average led the tournament, which included several players under contract to US major league teams. [6] He left Rouen to play for Toulouse in 2008 in order to be closer to his schooling.
