Biographical Information[edit]
Peter Hardy was an executive.
Hardy was chairman of the board of Labatt's. He helped Toronto, ON get a major league team and was the first vice president of the Toronto Blue Jays. He helped hire Peter Bavasi, Pat Gillick and Paul Beeston. He became Toronto's CEO in 1981 and held the role until 1990. Sports Illustrated named him Major League Baseball's top executive in 1985. He was on MLB's Executive Council. In 2004, he was inducted into the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame alongside Andre Dawson, Jim McKean and Joseph Lannin.
