Biographical Information[edit]

Pete Vonachen was a baseball executive who owned the Peoria Chiefs in the 1980s and 1990s. He served as general manager of the squad from 1994 to 1998. At one point, he won the Midwest League Executive of the Year and The Sporting News Class A Pro Baseball Minor League Executive of the Year. Pete Vonachen Stadium is named after him.

He served in the Navy during World War II.
