Biographical Information

Pete Susko was the regular first baseman in August and September for the 1934 Washington Senators. Joe Kuhel had been the previous first baseman, hitting .322 in 1933, but Joe played relatively few games in 1934 due to a broken ankle suffered in mid-season. The Senators had traded for Red Kress, who also played games at first, but toward the end of the season, Susko was given the job.

The next year, 1935, he led the Eastern League in RBI.

In 1940 he managed the Borger Gassers in the West Texas-New Mexico League early in the season before being replaced by Gordon Nell.
