Biographical Information[edit]
Pete Quesada played baseball at the University of Maryland and Georgetown University. He bypassed a pro career for the military and was an air force general during World War II. President Eisenhower later appointed him the first chief of the Federal Aviation Administration.
Quesada was one of the original owners of the expansion Washington Senators and served as team President until the club was sold to James Johnston and James Lemon in 1963.
