Pedro Peñalver Díaz
Pedro Peñalver was the brother of Osvaldo Peñalver and played ten seasons in the Cuban Serie Nacional. In [[1973-1974 Cuban National League|1973-1974], he led the league with 75 strikeouts for the Constructores. During 1976-1977, Pedro fanned 31 times, tying Ramón Otamendi for the most. The outfielder got his third whiff leadership in 1978-1979, when he K'd 55 times for La Habana. Overall, he had batted .248/.347/.384 in 1,794 plate appearances and fielded .954. He struck out 401 times in 1,539 at-bats.
