Biographical Information

Paul Wilder was selected by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in the first round (29th overall) of the 1996 amateur draft. He played in their system from 1996 to 1999, but never higher than Class A. His best batting average over the peiod was just .207. He then played two seasons in the independent leagues in 2001 and 2002.
