Biographical information[edit]
The great-grandson of former minor league pitcher and manager Paul Bennett, infielder Paul Bennett went undrafted out of Elon University but soon was signed by the Atlanta Braves and scout Billy Best. He made his pro debut in 2006 with the Danville Braves, hitting .275 in 45 games. He played three years in the Atlanta organization, briefly reaching the AAA level in his final season, with the Richmond Braves.
