Biographical Information[edit]
Pat Scanlon is the son of Paul Scanlon, a minor league catcher in the Chicago Cubs chain. When home plate umpire Tom Gorman rang him up with a game-ending third strike from Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Ron Schueler on September 26, 1976, Scanlon ended the Montreal Expos' history at Jarry Park.
