Biographical Information[edit]

Pao-Hung Chen played in the CPBL and TML for 6 years.

Chen represented Taiwan in the 1991 World Youth Championship and 1994 World Junior Championship. The Kaoping Fala selected him in the first round of the 1999 TML draft, and he hit .172/.226/.310 in 18 games in 1999 season. Chen improved to .264/.304/.402 in 2000, and he hit .262/.339/.436 in 2001. Chen's batting line was .229/.271/.292 in 2002, then he was assigned to the Macoto Cobras when the two leagues merged. He hit .282/.331/.345 in 2003, then he slumped to .133/.264/.156 in 2004. The Cobras released him after the 2004 season, and his professional career ended. He was a fielding coach of the CTBC Brothers from 2015 to 2016. Chen also coached Far East University in 2017 and TransWorld University‎ in 2019.

Overall, Chen had hit .242/.300/.343 with 148 hit in 6 seasons in the CPBL and TML.
