Biographical Information[edit]
Packy Rogers played 23 games for the 1938 Brooklyn Dodgers under manager Burleigh Grimes. He played shortstop, third base and second, with one game in the outfield.
Rogers had been at Fordham University from 1932-38. He had started playing pro ball with Elmira in 1936-38, though, and would continue to play in the minors through 1950 with a break for World War II.
He also managed several years between 1947-59, and hit a few times for the 1958 Elmira team he managed.
He served in the Navy.
