Biographical Information[edit]

Oskar Jerfsten has played in the Elitserien and for the Swedish national team.

He was 1 for 3 for Sweden in the 2016 European U18 Championship. [1] He hit .291/.380/.375 for the 2017 Sundsvall Mosquitoes, fielding .962 as their main catcher. [2] In '18, he fell to .207/.357/.246 with a .935 fielding percentage. [3] He was much better at age 18, producing at a .370/.414/.404 clip in 2019 though his .973 fielding was second-lowest among qualifying catchers (ahead of only Brett Rosen). [4]

Jerfsten made Sweden's team for the 2019 European Championship. He backed up Leo Bäckström at catcher, going 1 for 5; his hit against Donny Breek of the champion Dutch national team prevented a one-hitter. [5]
