Oscar Marcelino is the father of Brad Marcelino and a former British national team pitcher/3B.

He played for Britain in the 1988 European Championship B-Pool. In the 1989 European Championship, he was 1-0 with a win over Belgium but with a 21.83 ERA, giving up 26 hits in 12 innings; he hit .227 with 7 RBI and a team-high two triples in 7 games. In the 1991 European Championship, he gave up 22 runs in 13 1/3 innings but his ERA was just 4.73 as 16 of the 22 were unearned; he was 0-1. At the plate, he was 4 for 8 with a triple; all four of his hits came against Sweden.

He played for the Enfield Spartans in Britain, winning t hree national titles with them.

He coached for Britain in the 2003 European Championship. As of 2012, Oscar was coaching, advising and scouting baseball in Singapore. Recently Oscar traveled to Perth to coach his Seniors team in the country travel team tournament, SEAYBST. Oscar's wife (Betty) and son live in California and his son (Brad) coaches at baseball powerhouse University of San Diego. In 2016, he was inducted into the British Baseball Hall of Fame.
