Biographical Information[edit]
Osamu Nogami was an Olympic infielder.
Nogami played for Nippon Life Insurance in the industrial leagues from 1997-2004 and coached for them in 2005-2006. He only made the Japanese national team one time, for the 2000 Olympics. He backed up Jun Heima at second base, getting into four games. He had three chances, getting one put-out and two assists. At the plate, he was 0 for 4. He did score two runs. His most extensive action came against the Dutch national team, when he was 0 for 3. He did play in the Bronze Medal game, which Japan lost to rival South Korea.
