Biographical Information[edit]
Orville Armbrust pitched well in his three games in the major leagues in September 1934, with a record of 1-0 and an ERA of 2.13 with the Washington Senators. His lone major league victory came over the New York Yankees in the final game that Babe Ruth appeared in a Yankee uniform, outdueling Hall of Famer Red Ruffing by a score of 5-3 in the final game of the 1934 season. Orville pitched in the Texas League from 1936-38.
