Okinawa
Okinawa is an island in the East China Sea south of Japan that forms the main island of Okinawa Prefecture. The main cities on the island are Naha and Okinawa City. The island was occupied by U.S. forces from June 1945, when it was conquered after a major World War II battle, until 1950.
Shinichi Ishimaru and Nobuo Kura died here during the battle of Okinawa. A number of other former or future players fought in the battle, on both sides.
