Biographical Information

Ojani Chacón has pitched for the Puerto Rican national team.

He was 4-0 with 7 saves and a 3.83 in college in 2019, second in the Great American Conference in saves. He went 3-0 with a save and a 3.86 ERA in 2020 and 1-3 with four saves and a 5.32 ERA in '21. In the 2023 Caribbean Baseball Cup, he pitched a shutout inning for Puerto Rico. He was back with them for the 2024 Premier 12. He pitched to only one batter in their five games. Relieving Agnel Miranda in the 2nd with a 2-1 deficit, two on and one out against the Netherlands, he allowed a RBI single to Didi Gregorius then was replaced by Rubén Ramírez; Gregorius wound up scoring in the 20-8 Dutch rout of Puerto Rico.
