Biographical Information[edit]
Ojani Chacón has pitched for the Puerto Rican national team.
He was 4-0 with 7 saves and a 3.83 in college in 2019, second in the Great American Conference in saves. He went 3-0 with a save and a 3.86 ERA in 2020 and 1-3 with four saves and a 5.32 ERA in '21. In the 2023 Caribbean Baseball Cup, he pitched a shutout inning for Puerto Rico. [1] He was back with them for the 2024 Premier 12. He pitched to only one batter in their five games. Relieving Agnel Miranda in the 2nd with a 2-1 deficit, two on and one out against the Netherlands, he allowed a RBI single to Didi Gregorius then was replaced by Rubén Ramírez; Gregorius wound up scoring in the 20-8 Dutch rout of Puerto Rico.
