Biographical Information[edit]
Infielder Offa Neal played 4 games for the New York Giants in 1905. Manager John McGraw liked his play in college and in the minors for the Springfield Hustlers of the Three-I League, and so picked him up. Neal spent most of 1905 with the minor league Baltimore Orioles, where he did well enough that he was said to be on the list to go to spring training in 1906 with the Giants - something that did not happen.
Sporting Life on April 23, 1910 reported that he had signed to play for Freeport.
He managed the Henderson Hens for part of 1912.
Neal was a schoolteacher during the winters.
