Nürnberg, Bavaria

Nuremberg (or Nürnberg in German) is in central Bavaria in southwestern Germany about 20 miles northwest of Regensburg. It is known for its university which dates back to the Middle Ages, for being the site of massive rallies in support of the Nazi Party in the years before World War II and as the stage of the war crimes trials that followed the conflict. Daryl Clark, Peter Dankerl and Lukas Steinlein were born here.
