(Redirected from Nintendo of America)
Nintendo is a computer game company which has produced a number of baseball games. The American division, Nintendo of America, have been the longtime owners of the Seattle Mariners, purchasing the club back in 1992 from Jeff Smulyan midseason. As of 2011, they had owned the team for over half of its existence. Chairman and C.E.O. Howard Lincoln represents N.O.A. on their behalf in business dealings.
On April 27, 2016, Nintendo announced that it would be selling its majority shares in the team to current minority owners, a move coinciding with Lincoln's decision to retire. The new ownership group was headed by John Stanton.
