San Gregorio de Nigua, San Cristobal

San Gregorio de Nigua, also known as Nigua, is a seaside town in the province of San Cristobal on the southern coast of the Dominican Republic. It is located 5 miles southeast of San Cristobal, San Cristobal and 5 miles southwest of Bajos de Haina, San Cristobal.

Carlos Perez, Dario Pérez, Vladimir Pérez and Francisco Peguero were born here, and a fourth Perez brother Pascual Perez died here. A fifth brother, Melido Perez, served as mayor.
