Biographical Information[edit]

Nick Gaudi pitched professionally from 2009 to 2011. He was taken by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 30th round of the 2009 amateur draft and was signed by scout Chuck Crim. He peaked at Single A.

With the Ogden Raptors his first season, he went 2-4 with a 2.96 ERA in 18 appearances, striking out 39 batters in 27 1/3 innings. Between two clubs in 2010, he was 1-1 with a 4.91 ERA, striking out 35 in 29 1/3 innings. In 2011, he moved to the independent ranks, playing for the Lake County Fielders, Windy City ThunderBolts and Rockford RiverHawks and went 3-2 with a 4.87 ERA in 23 games (7 starts) between them.

Overall, Gaudi went 6-7 with a 4.44 ERA in 60 games (7 starts). In 117 2/3 innings, he allowed 117 hits and 49 walks (1.411 WHIP), while striking out 134 batters (10.2 K/9 IP).
