Nick Bredeson
Nick Bredeson
- School Ohio University
Biographical Information[edit]
Nick Bredeson was a catcher for the Ohio University Bobcats from 2013-2018. He missed considerable time due to injuries which explains the longer-than-average career. A native of Bloomfield Hills, MI, Bredeson earned his undergraduate degree in sport management and a graduate degree in coaching education from Ohio.
Soon after graduation, Bredeson joined the Ohio coaching staff as an assistant coach while also working on his graduate degree. He remained in that position through the 2021 season. In June 2021 he moved to Belmont University as a volunteer assistant coach, but didn't stay very long.
The Detroit Tigers hired Bredeson in 2022 to be the West Michigan Whitecaps development coach. He was then hitting coach of the Lakeland Flying Tigers in 2023-2024.
