Biographical Information[edit]

Nic Touchstone was drafted by the New York Yankees in the 16th round of the 2001 amateur draft but turned down a six figure bonus as a draft-and-follow. He was then drafted by the Anaheim Angels in the 18th round of the 2002 amateur draft. He then went to the Cape Cod League to improve his status and impressed enough to get a $3000,000 bonus.

Touchstone made his pro debut in 2003 with the Provo Angels. He played in the Angels' chain through 2005, never rising above high A ball.
