The Niagaras of Buffalo were a Pre-MLB team that played in the National Association of Base Ball Players. The club was founded in 1857. They were the champions of the city of Buffalo in 1859 after beating the Buffalo Eries. Upon getting this title, they were challenged to play one more game by the Rochester Live Oaks but declined due to the fact that the Live Oaks weren't the best team in the city of Rochester. They played their home games at the Niagara Grounds in Buffalo.
