Newbury College sponsored baseball starting in 2007. On April 9, 2007, Newbury was routed 57-1 in 7 innings by Bridgewater State College, setting NCAA Division III records for most runs allowed, most hits allowed and largest margin of defeat. It was the school's first year fielding a baseball team.

The college closed down in 2019.
