New Denver, BC
New Denver is a small town in southeastern British Columbia, along the shore of Slocan Lake. It is 85 miles east of Kelowna, BC. As the site of the largest internment camp for Japanese-Canadians during World War II, it features prominently in the baseball-themed novel Les derniers des Asahis. Ken Crosby was born here.
