Biographical Information[edit]
Nelanka Karunarathna was named the top catcher in the 2013 West Asian Baseball Cup. [1] He helped the Sri Lanka national team win the 2017 West Asian Baseball Cup, their first title. [2] They made the 2017 Asian Championship, their first Asian Championship; he was 0 for 10 with a walk and a RBI. Their main backstop, he fielded .967 and allowed 17 steals in 18 tries. [3]
By the 2018 Asian Games, he was with the Sri Lanka Army. [4] In the Games, he was 0 for 3 with a walk and a run, with one error in 13 chances; he split catching with Subas Gunasiri. [5]
